Welcome to the website of the 2nd annual Philosophy in Pubs (PIPs) National Conference. The conference takes place between Friday 8th June and Sunday the 10th June 2012 at The Adelphi Hotel in central Liverpool.
The conference is open to all PIPs member, friends and like minded individuals who believe in spreading the idea of philosophical thinking in the community.
Conference Aims:
1. To provide a space for sustained philosophical and social engagement, relaxation and reflection with fellow PIP members and other interested parties from around the country.
2. To provide an opportunity for members to express their philosophical ideas and theories in a more detailed and extensive way; and provide the opportunity for peer review and enquiry into those ideas.
3. To provide an opportunity to hear and respond to professional philosophers and others experienced in the field speaking on chosen subjects.
4. To allow the space and time for reflection on PIP’s vision and purpose, including it’s development nationally.
